My grandma has a 1997 ford expedition and the transmission is slipping?
The transmission started slipping bad so he put 4 quarts of transmission fluid in it and it's still slipping I has wonder if there's any thing else that could be wrong with it or if the transmission is just bad
No way to know what is causing the trouble w/o having a few transmission shops diagnose the issue; go to a few different shops for their estimate of repairs and what warranties they have
Find local shop at ATRA.COM for them to look at it and give grandma an estimate to repair it. Might just be low on fluid and repair whatever is leaking
- 2001 ford ranger transmission slipping? Had a old bottle mecron put it in and it drained out the bottom, leaky hose easy fix. The guy at the part store said it takes mecron 5 should I drain out all the fluid 10.5 quarts or can I get by with 1 quart of the old mecron
- My transmission has failed due to a recalled part does Ford have to replace the whole transmission or just the recalled part? I have a 2005 Ford Freestar minivan one night when I was driving home the transmission went out on it while I was on the highway. After doing some research we found that the torque converter is a recalled part on this model. If the torque converter is the reason for the transmission failure does Ford have to replace my whole transmission as well or just the torque converter?
