Ford expedition compatible with Lincoln navigator?

I have a ford expedition and it has that stupid twist handle. I want to put a Lincoln navigator rear hatch on it instead. I know its possible cause i've seen it on YouTube but no explanation on the process. I want to know the process and what years are compatible and any other info id need to know.

The Lincoln is a much better option in my view. Roomier and quieter ride hope this helps

Well yr is kinda important, i think its like 97- 01 and 02-05 or something like that. After those years i dunno. Generally the body panels are similar, so punches and blanks are similar. Early expiditions also share a ton of parts with the f150, but 02 up share basically nothing.
if its extensive, by the time you buy the parts to convert yours you may have been able to just use a different hatch. Just start looking at photos, or goto a salvage yd. A good salvage yd may be able to use hollander parts interchange or a similar system. We use hollander, and we can even pull up pictures of what our vehicle actually looks like, as well as black and white printed illustrations, etc. Awesome programs out there

I always thought they were pretty much the same truck with different trim. Ask a garage to do the conversion…
