Ford aspire transmission fit escort engine?

So I have a project car. It is a ford aspire with a 1.3 in it. The engine is done for but the transmission is fine. I find a ford escort engine for sale on craigslist 2.0 both 4 cylinder engines, both ford, both made by mazda, both manual. Will the transmission fit on the escort?

Car stereo cassette tape problem?

I have a 98 ford escort i just got as my first car and originally there was a tape stuck in the radio that i just shimmy out if it. When i put a new tape adapter in, the tape mode on the stereo say, no tape. Is it saying that because its not connected to my phone yet or is it another issue? Until i get a new music system, this is all i have. Just the original radio of the car. Also when i push EJ the tape don't eject either. Do you think it maybe something on the inside like a groove or something? If i can know the insides of a tape player and how it works and play the tape, that would help a bunch

What saves more gas, driving in a higher or lower gear?

I'm sure this is one of those questions that there's no "simple" answer, so let me specify. Say I'm just cruising along going around 30, making it so I could put my car (98 ford escort SE, btw) in 3rd or 4th and both would run smoothly. Which saves more gas? I'm pretty mind-numbingly dumb when it comes to cars, so save any BS you're going to give me. Best answer goes to the person who clarifys it the best.

Problem with engine fan on a 02' Ford Escort SE 2.0L FI SOHC 4cyl?

Once the fan starts up it will not stop even with the motor off unless I turn the key to the on position and, after a few second, turn the key back to off. I have to remove my battery cables when not running the car or it will end up dead which I'm not sure if the fan is kicking on at times without the key turned on or if it is a separate problem. The fan will also start and stop 5-6 times really fast (like it's gearing up) and then begins to run normal when putting the battery cables back on. It also starts up as soon as I turn the heat on any setting. This causes the heater to blow cool air after 10-20 seconds or so. The dash heat gauge works, I already replaced the thermostat, replaced & topped off the coolant, and checked the heater core (it was good). Could this be a bad coolant temperature sensor or is there another one for the engine/radiator fan?

Added (1). The CCRM, where the hi & low fan speed relays are located, works fine as it switches between speeds depending on how cold the motor is running.

Added (2). Would the CCRM fan relays effect the temperature of the heated air blowing out of the vents? Even with a heated motor the air becomes cool in less than a minute on any heat vent setting. Also, I just found out that the a/c lines are getting very cold when the heater is on in every vent setting, too.

Added (3). I should also add that the gauge shows the car running at normal temperature and when I turn the heater on, the fan kicks in, and the temp gauge slowly starts dropping. Within 10-15 minutes of running 70mph the needle is setting at 1/6-1/8 of the way up on the gauge.

Out of coolant, car won't start, service engine soon light flashing?

I got in my car to head to the gym and my car wouldnt start. Every time i turned the key in the ignition no spark was generated and the service engine soon light started flashing. I knew for a fact my engine oil was fine but i got out and checked and realized the coolant tank under the hood was almost empty. Is this enough of a problem to cause the car not to start? I'm about to refill the antifreeze but first i want to know 1 should i drain the old stuff even though there's barely anything to drain, and 2 when i refill the coolant, do i pour it directly into the radiator cap or into the coolant tank thats off to the side? I drive a 1998 ford escort.

Car won't start, it turns but won't catch, smells like gas?

It's a 2000 Ford escort, I just changed the serpentine belt along with a bad water pump pulley, and the tensioner still needed tightening my wife went out driving it, right after she left the house, she got to a stoplight up the street and the car wouldn't move if she put gas in it, she got it pulled over and turned it off, and now it won't start anymore. All the electrical works, which if I understand right is the gas smell because it's giving the engine gas which is electrical, but why won't it turn over and actually start?

Cost of a replacement car key?

Does anyone know how much it would cost to get a new key for a 2001 Ford Escort ZX2? It looks like I'm gonna need one, and I'm wondering how much this is going to cost. Do you have to go to the dealer for this?
