My car shakes while at idle and while driving?

I have a 2001 Ford Escort Sedan… My aunt and I have literally tried everything except a new engine and a new transmission… Everything else is new and was all flushed and blown out and it's still shaking while idling AND driving! We're clueless! We don't know what else to do! Could it be the car slowly breaking down for good?

Motor mounts?

Has anyone put a Vacuum Gage on it? It should be high (18-22) and steady. If it's not you need to find out why. A car will not run right without it.

Have you actually had the fault codes read from the OBDII port? If you have not, until you do this, you are just doing shotgun trouble shooting instead of following the correct procedure.

I doubt it. I've seen older vehicles on the road.

Sadly, not enough information. Have you checked the fuel system? What about the motor mounts? In motion, it could be anything from the tires up. Yes, it could be the transmission (fluid/filter), but I would think this is only when you start moving.

Wish I could help more, but I tend to work best by seeing the problem.
