Remove it, have it reground and replace the connecting rod bushings and bearings with the correct size to accommodate the re-grind.
What you do mean by frozen? If it's locked up due to damage, you're looking at an entire engine rebuild which won't be cheap at all.
The repair bill of $2,500 to $3,000 is about what you would spend on a replacement car of the same year. That means the car is totaled; unless you fix it yourself and only have to buy parts and machine work. I don't think you have the expertise for that.
- Having issues on troubleshooting my wife's 2000 Ford Contour SE V6 2.5 DOHC? After driving for about 3-4 miles it starts to jerk and loose power. Almost as if someone is hitting you from the back. It's not throwing any codes or making the check engine light come on so that tells me it can't be major. I hope. I have changed the fuel filter, added Techron concentrated fuel treatment, changed the (CPS) camshaft position sensor, changed the oil and filter. I also replaced the air filter and cleaned the MAP sensor. What else can it be? Someone please help.

It should get great millage but for some reason it feels like I'm not getting the power it should when it's in drive it idles rough and the rpm meter keeps jumping but when it's in neutral and park it's fine it also does it in reverse I jus got it an oil change and all new plugs and wires and new cool pak what else could it be?

- Can a Ford Escort ZX2 haul anything? It has an overdrive option, and would just like to know if it has the capability to haul anything. I'm NOT trying to haul anything big, just a something small a few miles down the road and do not have access to a truck and it is just a little bit too big to fit inside the car. I don't know anything about cars and I do know it has an overdrive option and have never used it, and would just like to know if that is a reason to use it.
