How much boost can I run on my car and what turbo would be the best choice?
I have a 1996 ford escort 1.6 16v Zetec 4x4 that I want to turbo convert. I'm planning on running it with stock internals. What would be a safe boost figure and what kind of turbo would you recommend for it? I will be using it for the streets and not the track.
I suggest you read this:

The limit with out a lot of work are the injectors! http://www.witchhunter.com/injectorcalc1.php
Boost determines hp and is proportional in atmospherics'! 7.5 lbs would produce a theoretical 50% hp gain.
Many feel that 7 lbs boost is as far as the stock injects can carry.
I wouldnt go above 9 psi. If you go to a junk yard and find a turbo charger off of a powerstroke diesel you can usually pick those up for like 2-300$ and then build the rest of the kit yourself for pretty cheap.
- Which would be a better choice for a sports car: a Mustang GT or a Corvette c6? The mustang gt is 2005-2008ish, and the corvette c6 is 2005-2007ish. I'm leaning to the corvette since they're worth more money and I always have been a fan of corvettes, but then the mustang can fit 4 people while the vette only seats two. Which would be the better choice?

- 0-60 time for a 2006 ford mustang with 7lbs of turbo boost? I'm about to buy a 06' mustang gt automatic with a single turbo that has 7lbs of boost. It has 450 hp. I'm basically wondering what the 0-60 time might be and the quarter mile and maybe top speed. This is a picture describing things it has.
- If a car causes another car to swerve and spin-out, is it considered hit-and-run if they leave the scene? On the way to work this morning, I saw a Ford truck cut off a smaller car and the poor car spun out in the rain and ended up facing the opposite direction. This caused the traffic to stop because it looked like the vehicle wouldn't start. The ford truck most likely knew he did that but kept going, instead of stopping. He didn't hit the car or any cars at all during the time. If he didn't actually hit anything, is it still considered hit and run? Should he have stopped?
