Can the temperature control cable on a 2001 Ford Escort Zx2 Coupe stop the heater blower from working?

Can the temperature control cable on a 2001 Ford Escort Zx2 Coupe stop the heater blower from working?

No. Get a voltmeter and see if you have power to the blower. A harbor Freight 4 buck cheapie is all you need. The fuses are always the first thing you should check. With the key on and the blower switch on you should show voltage to the blower motor. If so and it's not running the motor is burnt out

I know I have traction control but I don't know if I can put a brake hose that doesn't have traction control on instead of one with.

  • 2001 ford escort blower issues? I have a 01 escort I just recently bought and it has been sitting for 2 years. I've drove it for a couple days and the air and heat worked great in it until one morning it quit blowing. Did my blower go out or what? Any suggestions before I start ripping things apart?
  • AC/ Heater blower not working in 2006 Ford Five hundred? I was having problems with the heater and a/c in the car not turning off unless I turn the car off. And not being able to turn the fan down as well. No biggie I can live with that. Then the other day I went to use my rear defroster and it wouldn't work. Then all of a sudden nothing will blow out. Whether it's A/c or not. I had auto zone check the fuses and they seem to be all working. Is it the blower motor or could it be other things?
