2001 Ford ZX2 turned off randomly while driving and won't start?
The battery seems charged and it tries strongly to turn over. Not overheating. No leaks. No belts came off. What could it be?
Maybe fuel pump or something in the ignition (Bad coil etc)
No gas getting to the engine, or no spark to the plugs will cause what you describe. Impossible to guess exactly what from what you have described.
Good news it's it's probably not a horribly expensive repair, you just need to work out what it is.
It sounds like an Electrical problem. Turn the Headlights on and try to start it. Tell me what happens… They go out, they get dim, nothing they stay bright. It tries or does Crank (Turn over, Roll Over)? You either have a Crank/No Start or No Crank situation. Please don't use slang.
Remove the gas cap and have someone listen in the gas fill tube as you turn the key on. To see if the can hear the fuel pump whirring. Sometimes reaching under spanking the gas tank with an open hand or flat piece of wood will unstick a failing pump for a while.

The battery has a charge, the alternator is new, and I tried jumping the battery just in case. So I know it's not that.
