2001 Ford Escort Zx2 with a no start?

I have a 2001 Ford Escort Zx2 with a no start problem. It quit running while shifting into 2nd gear. No check engine light. Only code that came up was for the 02 sensor. I have spark, and fuel. The timing belt looks good and in the correct place (TDC, crank marks look correct, cams line up). New fuel fitler, pressure around 55psi, lights light when checking if injectors are firing. Also cleaned the grounds, one on the right fender, front of engine, fire wall by the brake booster, by the battery and under the battery. Replaced the black box under the battery and cam sensor. The scanner also said the crank sensor is counting. Also checked the PVC line for cranks and looks ok. Check fuses and the roll over ball thing.

Hi soit is 13 year old car how long as the car had no engine check light is the question. Take it to a ford dealer.

Is fuel reaching cylinder? Attempt to start the car and pull one of the plugs, see if the bottom of it is wet with fuel. Is the battery good to, engine turns over fast?

Battery is good and we put a charger on it to keep it charged up. I forgot to mention that I did replaced the plugs and wires. The old plugs were black and smelt like gas. Every once in awhile, it will try to fire, but it seems to be thru he throttle body. While not run even if you try start fluid, but will ignite the fluid when back fires. Check a plug and new ones are now black.
