1996 Ford Escort oil pressure sending unit, thing?

My '96 escort is leaking oil badly from a small unit on the backside of the engine. I was on RockAuto and found an oil pressure sender/switch and was wondering if this was the right part.

Added (1). There are two small wires coming off this unit that, to my best guess, are 24 gauge wire.

Hi sorry i don't have my magic wand with me to see what you are talking about a ford dealer would be the best people to ask.

  • What is a hydraulic pressure unit? Recently my husband and I got a code reader for our broken down 2007 Ford Freestyle SEL. The code it came up with was P0942, which is for a hydraulic pressure unit. I (nor my husband) have heard of this. I have looked it up with no luck. Does anyone know what they do and how much it would cost to fix?
  • Oil pressure - in my dashboard - CAR OIL CHANGE -? Hi i'm getting the below message in my dashboard. Mine is a 10 yrs old ford card LOW OIL PRESSURE. could the above be due to ENGINE OIL due to be replaced. Or oil gone old or bad. i jut recently changed oil - its a 5k miles synthetic oil.
  • Coolant Temperature Sending Unit Location? I can't find the coolant temperature sending unit location on my truck. It's a 1986 f150 with a 300 straight six out of a '78 ford. I've looked all over the internet and so far it's in none of the locations suggested, such as above the starter on the passenger side of the block, or in front of the distributor on the block.
  • Tire pressure for a 1996 Ford Explorer? I will be driving a 1996 Ford Explorer 4x4 next week. I know that with the whole Firestone fiasco years ago, Ford has changed the recommended tire pressure; I can't find a definitive pressure recommendation. If it matters, I will not be going off-road; it will be 20-45 degrees F so there may be snow and ice; and I will be 9000 feet above sea level.
