Where is the starter of a 2005 Ford Escape located?
At the end of the big red wire that comes off the battery
Go to youtube and do a search for replacing the starter motor and there will be a video showing you the location.
It's near the Oil Filter Housing on the lower part of the Bellhousing of the Transmission. Since your not a mechanic I would suggest all you do is make sure the Wires are tight and not damaged. The big wire is for the Starter Motor, the small one is the Start wire to Crank.
