Need help with my ford escape with ecoboost?

I have a ford escape newer one with ecoboost i took it off roading 2 months ago and ever since that day i'm hearing more like loss of power with my ecoboost system when i merge on to the highway the car lacks power getting up to speed i have no idea what this could be i have changed my spark plugs and still the same thing

Off roading usually ends up knocking something under the vehicle loose. Why would you think it did something to the spark plugs?

I'm not sure how exactly you're hearing power loss, but if the sound you're hearing is the sound of air hissing from somewhere when you try to accelerate hard then you've most likely damaged something in the intake tract or in the plumbing leading to or from the turbocharger. If you're not hearing any obvious air hissing then you may have damaged the turbocharger itself. Both problems would cause a significant loss of power, which would result in the engine revving a lot harder than usual to get the car up to speed (which you'd also definitely hear).

Literally anything could have been damaged by off-roading in it though so all I can offer you is an idea of what I think could be wrong based on your description, nothing more unfortunately. Regardless, I wouldn't keep driving it in its current condition - the longer you drive it with something obviously wrong, the more expensive it's probably going to be to fix when you finally fix it.

A quick visit to any decent garage ought to sort it out. Form sound of it you have damaged a vehicle not designed for offroading by going off road ( common) . Possibly a minor issue. Split. Boost hose? Exhaust? Loss of power can be due to many reasons and a diagnostic check will soon reveal what is going wrong. Spark plugs will not affect power unless one or more is misfiring or failed? Water ingress? Can affect cars. Power circuits badly too.

  • Need help figuring out what is wrong with my 1998 ford ranger? I have a 1998 ford ranger 3.0l 4wd. Anyways, I drove it home and it wouldn't start the next day. So, I checked the fuel pressure at the rail and it was 0psi. So, I pulled the bed off right quick and checked the voltage to the pump. The first pin had 5v, middle pin has 0v, and the last pin had 5v. I checked the relay and it was good… Any ideas on where else to look?

  • Ford racing cams! Help NEED TO TUNE? I have an 08 mustang gt. After I install my ford racing cams how do I tune my car? Do I really need a sct tuner to tune the car? Or can I just get it up on the dyno and tune my car like that without a handheld tuner?
  • I need help using an Ipod with my Ford Focus? I have just bought a 9-yer-old Ford Focus. I would like to but a cheap Ipod so that I can play tracks from my iTunes in the car. The owners manual hints, (without actually saying), that only certain Ipods will be compatible with the car. Does that sound right? If it is not the case, can I but any functioning Ipod and reasonably expect it to work with the car?
