Thats a top of the line battery, try walmart or a discount store for an 11 year old vehicle
That's too high. You would be able to get the proper battery for your Ford and any auto parts store, Walmart, Costco, etc. For about half that amount.
Batteries can be expensive. The last one that I bought was an Exide battery and came from Menards. It was the best deal out there. Menards are only in half the country though - mostly in the Midwest. Costco has good deals on Interstate batteries. Interstate is an expensive battery because it has the best reputation, but Costco makes it worth it.
There aren't that many sizes of battery out there. Maybe ten different batteries go into all vehicles. The first thing is figuring out if it is side posts or top posts. The size is like 75 or 78 so it could say something like S75 for Sidepost75.
A quick search says the battery is a 40R. Double check that since there are 4cylinder and 6 cylinder Escapes. You can go to any auto parts store or Walmart and buy a decent battery for around $100. I'm sure some places install them free. Walmart and Pep Boys and maybe Auto Zone install them free.
Quoted by whom? Does that include installation and disposal of the old battery?
That price simply for the battery is is way too high… Like 3 times too high. You should be able to buy a battery for that car for $79 at Walmart.
Shop around if you feel the price is too high.
That is a rip-off. Go to another store.
Go get you a interstate battery, it will be lots cheaper.
Too much
Too much
WAY too much. Not hard to change it yourself…
- I have a 1975 Ford LTD, four door, with about 17,300 original miles with all the paper work for sale? This was my dad's and is going to be for sale. I'm curious what I should ask as the selling price on it. I don't know where to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It is that green color that was popular back then with no damage and is very clean.
- Ford 300 starts smoking from oil cap after 1 minute of runtime and radiator smells like a wet fire pit? It was running fine then it started acting hard to start off and smoking a little so I figured oil. Put some more in and it straightened up for a mile or so then started acting up worse. It began to have a knocking noise like an old diesel tractor. I don't understand what it is because it starts up just fine but won't run for more than a minute before it starts pudding and knocking. Also there are tiny pieces of rust chunks in the radiator and it smells like a wet fire pit.
- I bought an old ford for 300 bucks and wanted to fix it up it is a 1976 ford f150 long bed regular cab? It is 2wd only it needs a total engine rebuild and it needs to be machined by a shop it has no rust on the body it just needs a engine rebuild would it be worth it to fix it up and sell it for a profit
- New alternator and battery but battery still won't charge in my ford explorer 93? My battery wouldnt charge So i just replaced my alternator a few days ago knowing it would fix the problem. It appears that the alternator was not the problem. I've got a brand new alternor and when i check the battery(running car), it just stays on 12.5V and doesn't go up. I tried using it yesterday and it just drained out on me. I tried 3 good batteries already and checked if they charge in my car but they don't. Oh, the alternator came with a volt regulator.
