How many miles can I put on a 2010 Ford Escape XLT?

Looking to buy a 2010 Ford Escape XLT with 60,000 miles on it. Does anyone know the life expectancy of this vehicle?

I'd say quite a few miles.

As with ANY vehicle… It all determines on the upkeep/maintainance of a it will determine the life of it… I have an 04 jeep with 204750 on it and it runs like a kitty so its all in how you care for it

The longevity of the Escape would all but up to you, Amelia.

Modern automobiles, including a 2010 Ford Escape XLT, can last more that 200k miles if fully and properly serviced and maintained. That's the key.

Did you recently purchase this 2010 Ford Escape XLT? Did the seller show you service receipts indicating it has been serviced? If so, you are in good shape. If they didn't, who the hell knows.

Any vehicles integrity, longevity and reliability depends on how well it is maintained.

Roll the dice.

Keep the oil and belts good and probably till about 200,000 then you'll more than likely need new rear suspension i don't know why but I've seen it a lot of times

More reliable than previous version Get at least 210k before issues

That's like asking us how long do we think you are going to live!
If you change the motor oil and filter every 3,000 miles if using regular motor oil or every 5,000 miles using synthetic oil you'll at least get another 50,000 to 80,000 more miles than if you let the oil get black or too low before changing it.
ATF should be changed every 60,000 miles so get that done. DO NOT flush the tranny. Just a drain and fill.
Check the rear caliper rubber hoses. They fray and then rupture at the connection to the metal brake line. The factory made these hoses too short and they get yanked on every time the vehicle is put up in the air to change oil. You can see the frayed spot in the part of the hose by looking over the rear tires and using a flash light.

130-150 k miles=== provided you change oil every 5,000 miles using castrol synth blend

If you really want to know, there's only one way to find out… And I think you know what it is…

V4 = 100,000 miles
V8 = 150,000 miles.

Both need transmission fluid changes and regular oil changes
And regular maintenance belts, hoses, spark plugs, etc etc to
Keep them running at their best. Neglect = early engine or transmission
failure.

The problem is it has a LOT of miles for a 2012, 97k to be exact. Is this something a car buying should stay away from? My other question is how well do 2012 Ford Fusions hold up? How many miles can it be expected to last if it has been taken care of? I'm looking for a used car 2009-current for around or under 13k. Have suggestions? Feel free to let me know!

  • Is a 2011 Ford Escape XLT with 155,000 miles on it a good used car to buy? The asking price is? $9,300 cash. Looking for a car that safe, reliable, won't flip when turning on sharp curves, upcoming and maintenance fairly inexperience, and will last a long time. The one thing that I'm weary about with this high is that the miles are extremely high for a 2011.
