2010 Ford Escape headlights turning on in middle of night?
My 2010 Ford Escape will randomly turn its headlights on in the middle of the night. I usually keep my headlights on automatic, I haven't really tried turning them completely off before exiting the car and seeing if that works. Either way, if the car is off the lights should not be turning on. Does anyone know why this could be? Would hate to wake up and my car be dead…
My Ram truck turns on the lights when you touch the handles to open the doors. Maybe someone is tampering with your car.
This has also happened to me when my tailgate latch gets frozen up and the head lights stay on.
You probably have a bad door switch waking up the body control module for the after dark mode.
Now that they incorporate the door switch in the latch, it can be a dog to find out which one is bad.
Tried turning them completely off before exiting the car and seeing if that works. That would be the cheapest solution& better than a dead battery.
If the drivers door jam switch is not working the headlights will not turn off when on automatic.
How do you know they come on? And how do you go about turning them off?
Mine started doing that when a house nearby sold and a new family moved in. Someone there worked nights and when he unlocked his car with his remove my light would come on briefly. When I turned off the automatic lights on mine it quit. Apparently his remote affected my car. After a while they traded in their car for a new one and it quit.
- My 2001 ford ranger just died in the middle of traffic? I'm having multiple issues with the truck, mostly because I haven't had the money for the upkeep. But it just died on me, the lights and everything come on, and it's trying to start although it sounds really weird when its trying to start. It had almost no oil in it so put two quarts in, no luck. The battery light came on right when it quit, and I've had this happen before a few times, but it started right back up the previous times. I'm thinking maybe a bad alternator?
- Middle tail light won't turn off on my 05 mustang? It's a 2005 v6 Ford Mustang. So it's on the tail light on the right side, and it's the middle bulb out of the 3 on the sequential light. And it is always on. The tail lights all work fine, but the one light stays on. Regardless Whether the car is on or off it just stays on. Financially it would be great if I could do this at home, so I d love some help thanks!

- Should I unplug my trucks battery at night? Its old but I re? Ok I have a 2001 ford f150 super crew 4x4 4.6 that I restored and I baby its all stock and its literally my favorite car I ever, my question is I I go as far as to keep a car cover on it should I unplug the battery when I'm done using it? I have another one that is my beater so the nice one sits a few days at a time my concern is fire I don't want this truck to ever break and would like serious answers iv owned this vehicle for 3 years so i'm positive how much I like it, thanks
