2010 Ford Escape fan control only functions on high which is the # 4 setting. What could be wrong?
The other three speeds for the fan just turns off the fan. Can just a switch be replaced? If so, how is the cover plate removed?
That's going to be the motor resister pack. Follow the fan wiring to the resister pack that is mounted in the heater box a foot or two from the motor which is under the passenger side of the dash. Just a couple of screws and it pulls out. Take it to Advance Auto and buy one at the parts counter. Make sure it has the same connectors and size.
Probably just a relay.
- My cars functions stopped working all of sudden? So I have a 2011 Lincoln MKT 3.7L AWD, and as I was driving back home, the car suddenly stopped working. All electronics, and functions stopped working. The car continued going down in speed. I was lucky I pushed the button to start again and it started. The car was also recently serviced at a Ford dealership. The tank is also full. But what caused the car to turn off like that going 90km/h an hour? Year: 2011 Make: Lincoln Model: MKT 3.7L AWD Mileage: 126100km// 77000 Miles
- What is the difference between a Electronic control module and Engine control module? I recently bought a cheap Ford Focus which was affected in floods… I got the water of the engine and pretty much all the places, all my lights and few other electronic functions work… But my engine doesn't turn on and my HUD is dead, but works on another car… What should i do?
- Can I put a brake hose without traction control on a vehicle with traction control? I have an 03 Ford Explorer and I need to replace the brake hose on the left rear. I know I have traction control but I don't know if I can put a brake hose that doesn't have traction control on instead of one with.
- I have a 2015 Ford Escape 4WD with 4 new Fuzion tires. Less than 3,000 miles. When cold, after setting overnight, the front or back tire on? The passenger side makes a thumping noise as the tire rotates on the roadway at low speeds for about 100-200 yds, then smooths out and the noise goes away. Can't tell if it's the front or rear. They're properly inflated and have good even treadwear. Any ideas what's causing the noise?
