EISENHOWER. NIXON. FORD.Co. Any of these past Presidents be elected in todays Republican Party?

Has todays Republican Party become so neo-conservative. That these past Presidents could not even win the primary?

No

I don't think so. They lack the ultra-right wing racist credibility that's required of Repugnican candidates.

Trump a former Democrat got elected. LOL

Kennedy, Johnson or Carter could not get elected in today's Democratic party. LOL

Yes! Remember Biden; Pocahontas Warren and Hillary are proof of that.

You forgot Reagan, Yes Reagan would be elected by a landslide.

Reagan Wins By a Landslide, Sweeping at Least 48 States; G.O.P. Gains Strength in House

Despite all the criticism of Reagan, he still won 48 states because the economy was booming.
Now compare that to Trump.

No. They were to sane. Even Tricky D ick.

Oh look, someone used "neo". I bet you think you are an intellectual, right?

Kennedy would be too conservative for this go-around and he is a democrat hero.

Times change. Dems don't seem to get any wiser. Same old same old.

No

JFK would have been kicked out with the rest of the Blue Dogs in 2010 midterms, and Bernie would hate his guts. EISENHOWER. NIXON. FORD.Co. Any of these past Presidents be elected in todays Republican Party

Not at all. They'd all be considered too liberal by today's GOP standards.

Nixon created the EPA, OSHA, and opened relations with communist China.
Taxes for the wealthy during Eisenhower were much much higher than they are now and he was staunchly against the military-industrial complex.

Even Reagan and H.W. Bush would be considered too liberal. Reagan supported gun control measures and gave amnesty to illegal immigrants. H.W. Bush took the threat of global warming seriously.

No, the GOP of today has gone dangerously to the right. Proposals that seem super progressive today would have been considered fairly middle of the road decades ago.
