Can I possibly get my speeding ticket dismissed?

I recently got pulled over for the first time and received my first ticket by going 70 on a 55 mph freeway. Yes I know I shouldn't have been speeding… I'm hoping I could possibly get my ticket dismissed. I'm trying to find any possible errors that the officer could have made.
and the only thing that struck as odd to me was that he described my 2014 Dodge Charger as a "Charger - Shelby Charger" on the ticket.
Forgive me for I'm not knowledged in car models but I thought that shelbys were soley Ford…
Is this a possible error that he could've made or does this have no help in getting my ticket dismissed?
The officer also didn't asking for insurance or registration but then again I heard he could've ran my plates to get that info…

Lol your grabbing at straws playing junior lawyer… If the licence plate matches the one on your car and your name is the same as the one on your drivers license it doesn't matter if he noted your car as a throat warbler mangrove. Your still paying the fine. Now if you really want to not pay the fine and get the citation off your record ask the judge of you county allows a drivers safety course in lieu of fines. Many do for first offenders.

Not going to happen.

And no, you aren't going to win at trial over a small error, especially if he testifies (which he will), that he saw your vehicle, clocked it, didn;t lose sight of it, pulled it over, and ID'd you as the driver.

As for the registration/insurance issue, again, not grounds for a dismissal. You can't beat a speeding ticket because the cop failed to ask a question that has no bearing on the issue of whether you were speeding or not. The registration issue is usually determined simply by running the plates and matching the driver to the registered owner. Cops really don't ask for registration anymore, that only happened before computers were standard issue in squad cars.

As others have noted… The Charger was modified by Shelby for several model years, including 2014. A quick internet search showed several 2014 shelby chargers for sale. So, that ain't getting the ticket reduced or thrown out.

Since you are not being charged with offenses that have anything to do with having current registration and insurance papers in the vehicle, the charge will not be thrown out over the officer "failing" to ask for these documents.

So far, it looks like the charge will stand as written on the ticket.

That error makes no difference at all.

  • Rattling noise coming from passenger side possibly engine when going up steep hills, for ranger? I ave a 2007 ford ranger and recently when going up hills there has been a rattling noise that seems to come from the passenger side towards the engine or front of the truck. What could cause this? I also recently had an oil change, and they put 5w30 in instead of the recommended 5w20, could any of this be a cause?
  • Anyone possibly know what could be wrong with my brakes? I was driving home from work and out of nowhere the pedal sinks down to the floor. I tried bleading the breaks and that didn't work. My truck is a 98 ford ranger xlt 4 cylinder. I can't take it to a shop now cuz it has no brakes.
  • Listed as driving an ATV on my speeding ticket when I was driving a Truck? I live in Minnesota and received a speeding ticket yesterday. When I looked it over it said the vehicle was an ATV. I was driving a Ford Truck. Is this how they list all trucks on tickets or did the officer make a mistake. The citation was correct just not the type of vehicle.
  • Speeding Ticket in Georgia with Incorrect Information? I received a speeding ticket last night in Dekalb County off Briarcliff rd a little after the Fox5 station. The officer said I was doing 55 in a 35. When I asked him to show me the laser it said I was doing 54. My biggest issue the car information is completely wrong. I drive an 08 Ford focus light blue with Missouri tags. The ticket says 04 Nissan Maxima SE Black with Georgia tags and the tag numbers don't even match mine. Do I have a chance of fighting this ticket?
