  • Aren't you amazed by the capabilities and the size of today's full-size pickup trucks? I drive a 2011 Ford Ranger XLT 4x2 with a 4.0 liter V6 (~245 ci.) engine. I was looking up the specs for early-mid 1960s F100s (considered full-size), and they have nearly the same GVWR, towing capacity, payload, horsepower, wheelbase, and height as my "compact" truck. In your opinion, do you think today's full-size trucks are amazing or too fancy/over-sized (a traditionalist like me)? P.S.: I like all American vehicles
  • How to undo bolts on Ford Galaxy 2003 Front & Rear brake caliper to renew disc's and pads? I need to renew the disc's and pads at the front and rear of Ford Galaxy 2003. I have the correct sockets and a large extension bar, but they will not budge (front or rear). I have tried WD40, thinking of trying a little heat, but its a bit near to the brake hoses. All suggestions gratefully received. I have a full workshop manual on this car issued by Ford which just says that they are tightened to 190Nm. The front bolts are huge 27mm and the rear bolts are 18mm.
  • Can a dial torque wrench be used in same situation as a click torque wrench? Or are the used in specific applications? I'm looking to get a torque wrench to fasten the valve cover on my Ford F-150. Being new to all this I automatically started looking at click wrenches. But I have seen some higher brand dial wrenches for decent prices also. Can I use dial? Or stick with click?(Digital/high tech is out of my price range) Thanks.
  • 1990 Ford F250 C6 Transmission is a little soft on take off in drive? I have bought a 1990 Ford F250 Custom, that was damaged in the last ice storm, great truck, it is a little slow on take off in drive. I can shift the leaver down to-D1- & it will take off as it should. I'm thinking of droping the trans. Pan & changing the filter, which has probably never been done.
