Subwoofer kicks in and out?
Alright so I just got a new truck (1997 ford f250) and it has two subwoofers with tweeters in the front under the dash on either sides and I just got the truck and I really don't know a lot about any kind of that stuff but my problem is when I'm going down the road every once in a while they will just shut off and might come back on if I hit a bump but last night they shut off and I've been driving a good bit today and they haven't came back on yet and really the only thing I can think of is my ground cable but I pulle it off and wire brushed where it was connected (the amp is underneath the passenger seat) and put it back on but that's all I've done to it
Sounds like there's a short in a wire at least hope it is otherwise it's the amp
That ain't a new truck boy. It's nearly 20 years old.
Someone sure was in a hurry to sell their vehicle and not remove their system. Now, that system is yours.
The sub isn't the one that's kicking in and out…
It's neither that the amplifier is damaged, poor wiring, loose connection, etc…
