How much would it cost to swap a v10 engine to a powerstroke engine?
I was wanting to know apporximatly how much money i would waist on swaping my ford f250 superduty from a triton 6.8l v10 to a powerstroke like a 6.0 or 6.7l. And don't tell me to sell the truck and buy a new one cause i'm aware of that route. But i would like to see the estimated cost to swap the engines.

Don't do it Way more then the vehicle is worth. Sell it & buy an oil burner… If you want factory quality, you will have to buy a same year powerstroke truck, and swap the diesel and associated parts in. Budget about $30k, and a little less than 10k to but the other truck back together, if you want to sell it.

- Is it possible to get a new transmission for an older car, if so, how much would it cost? I'm looking at buying a 2003 Ford Taurus with 85,000 miles on it. No, there are no transmission problems. I'm just thinking that if it were done now, that could add a lot of life onto the vehicle. And it would make sense because my estimate is that a new transmission is less that what this car is worth. The car is 5K.

- Cost for a rear differential gear swap? Very simply I have a 2012 Ford Mustang V6 with the stock 2.73 gears and I ordered 3.73 gears and I wish to have them installed. My local auto body shop is asking $1000 for the installation + gear oil + engine retune (apparently that s needed when you jump gears like that). Is that a fair price or should I look elsewhere?
