Has anyone installed a rear locking differential on an F250?
Specifically, on a 2006 F250? I'm looking to put an Eaton electronic locker or a Detroit Truetrack but I haven't heard of anyone doing it on a 2006 ford.
I had a 1995 Bronco that I put a Powertrax-No Slip locker on, it was pretty street friendly, though not as much so as a factory Trac-loc. The Eaton eletronic locker would give you the best of both worlds, the Truetrack being all mechanical, is going to have some clunking when it engages/disengages, when making sharp turns. If you have the factory Trac-loc (it was optional, but many trucks have it), then I would just have that rebuilt with carbon fiber clutch discs and call it good.

- Ford ranger rear differential leak? I've noticed a couple weeks ago my differential is leaking on side closest to bumper. Not much. Stuck to the differential. Is there an additive I can use to stop the leak? Thank you in advance
- Cost for a rear differential gear swap? Very simply I have a 2012 Ford Mustang V6 with the stock 2.73 gears and I ordered 3.73 gears and I wish to have them installed. My local auto body shop is asking $1000 for the installation + gear oil + engine retune (apparently that s needed when you jump gears like that). Is that a fair price or should I look elsewhere?
- Rear differential leaking, but not from seal on 2003 ford f150 aluminum driveshaft? I noticed this yesterday, it's barely leaking, however, it's not leaking from the bottom of the seal, it is leaking from where the back face of the u joint(the face that faces the rear diff) and the pinion and it looks like it's coming from a small hole, I don't know why it is leaking fluid, if anyone has any information, that would be nice, thanks
- 2002 Ford Explorer Rear End, Can I up grade with better rear end? I need to Up Grade to better Rear End that does not squeal and make noise. What is recommended? Any thing out there?
