Ford super duty brake pedal goes to floor?
Fluid appears to squirt out of power steering when brake pedal depressed
Are we sure it power steering that is ejecting fluid? Brake pedal ought never to go to floor. If it does its normally indicative of a fluid leak in system. Check brake fluid level and do NOT drive until rectified .driving with a know fault ( brakes ) will invalidate any insurance cover and is illegal too.
then check power steering reservoir. Has anybody bene working on car and messed up the two circuits?
Have someone that knows what they're doing check it out for you.
- WHAT WRONG? No lecture$. LHF brakes metal to metal week+ Today pedal goes to floor No brake power until almost bottom out Fluid not low? 05 AWD Ford Freestyle. Besides grinding all around brakes were fine. Now noise is close to negligible. Replacing Front pads/rotors tomorrow. A must to bleed now? Air in system? Caliper?
- Bad smell when I floor the gas pedal, 2014 ford mustang v6 with 9000km? Its been like this for awhile now but when i floor the gas pedal (from a stop or while moving) there's a bad smell coming from the exhaust, I can't smell anything from inside the car but my friends tell me when they're behind me. They say it smells like burning, however I check the oil regularly and it still has 50% life. Btw I only do this for short distance never holding it. The dealership told me just not to floor it and it won't do it. Wasn't much help.
- 2001 Ford Mustang brake light don't work when I push down on brake pedal? So my 2001 mustang won't shift out of park because of brake lights. When I push the brake pedal the lights don't come on but when I push the brake switch up with my hands Manualy the brake lights come on? Any ideas why the switch is not working when I push the brakes and lights come on when I push it by hand?
- Let the master cylinder run dry and now the brake pedal goes to the floor when I turn the car on. Is air still in the system? I pulled the car out of storage and i noteced the left front caliper was leaking so I replaced the caliper. The only problem was the master cylinder ran dry. I bleed the brakes three times. I did not see any air in the lines after I bleed them a third time. When the car is off the brake pedal gets rock hard when the pedal ia depressed about half way. With the car on the brake pedal goes to the floor. Would this be cause by air in the system? The car is a 03 ford focus.
