Does the Ford 60,000 mile drive-train warranty transfer to the new owner when you sell it used?
Does the Ford 60,000 mile drive-train warranty transfer to the new owner when you sell it used?
Maybe, but the Hyundai 100,000 mile warranty sure does.
All warranties follow all cars, matter who owns it.
Any factory warranty that's included in the car is transferable
Manufacturers warranty the car, not the owner.
Except in rare cases like Hyundai where they might have a longer warranty for the original owner only.
- Why do some companies like Ford have a 5year warranty and others like Hyundai have a 10year warranty? Does the company with the longer warranty trust in their product longer? Or they know that the owner will have to do a ton of repairs and without a back up no one would ever buy them?
- My 2000 Ford Taurus won't shift into fourth gear is it ok on a 700 mile round trip drive? I have a 2000 ford Taurus and it doesn't shift into fourth gear anymore. Its been that way for 2 years. It runs fine just doesn't shift into fourth gear and the transmission light does come on after a while of driving it. I was wondering if it would be ok to take it on a 700 mile round trip drive? I know its not good for it I just need to know if I'm going to be stranded on the highway somewhere because my trans went out.
- How important is a 5,000 mile inspection/ maintenance? I bought my Ford about a year ago, I just get a letter in the mail reminding me I should bring my car in because it just passed 5,000 miles. Will it affect the warranty if I don't? I'm currently at 5,300 miles.
- Ford Fiesta 2012 model (69 000km on the clock / 42 000 miles) Aircon has seized - warranty? So I'm wondering - our ford fiesta is covered under warranty until 120 000km and it's on 69 000… We, however, serviced the car through a friend of ours who is a qualified mechanic - and DID use all ford parts. We were driving just the other day and our air con compressor seized. This is practically a brand new car. Is the air con still under warranty if we self serviced the car? It is definitely a manufacturing issue and has NOTHING to do with the service.
