Better for what? I'm not a huge fan of Chrysler for anything since they are way overpriced for what you get. Ford and Toyota both make good vehicles and you can pick them up cheaply if they are used. Maintenance for them is also cheap.
American cars are getting better but they can't keep up with Japanese cars. Toyotas have better reliability and longer life.
In fact, Japanese cars are So much better than 'American' cars no longer really even exist. Every car made in the US is a joint venture between an American company and a Japanese company--Ford and Mazda, GM and Toyota, Chrysler and Mitsubishi. WE showed THEM how to make reliable, long-lasting cars, after WWII. Then WE didn't do it, and they ate our lunch!
According to Consumer Reports magazine, Toyota rates highest, Ford is near bottom, and Chrysler is at bottom. In general Japanese cars are superior to most American cars, especially in reliability.
I retired from a Chrysler dealership 10 years ago. All I can add is that the Chrysler/Dodge minivans are very good vehicles and quite dependable. But outside of that, Toyota has my vote.
- Ford ranger for 2000 Chrysler Sebring? I have a 98 ford ranger with about 115,000 miles on it. And a friend wants to trade a 2000 Chrysler Sebring with about 167,000 miles on it. Plus maybe $500 bucks. Is this a good deal or no? Exactly how reliable are 2000 Chrysler Sebring's known for being? Any info would be helpful.
- Doge vs Ford vs Cadillac vs Chrysler? I've recently come into some money and I'm able to buy either a 2005 Mustang, 2005 Cadillac cts, or a 2005 doge challenger, or a 2005 Chrysler 300. They all cost around the same price. But in your opinion what's the better car? I live in Michigan so weather is a concern.
- Is a joint venture car, like Geos, Vibes, Saturns/Honda, Ford/Mazda or Chrysler/Mitsubishi products rice burner or not? Geos and Vibes were GM/Japanese joint ventures and I read some Chryslers had Mitsubishi parts. Some Saturns had Honda engines. I think Mazda built some cars for Ford or some such, so in my family we called Mazda Japanese Fords, once. However, the cars carried Geo (later Chevy), Pontiac, Saturn, Chrysler (or one of its divisions) or Ford (not sure if Mazda made any cars for their Lincoln-Mercury division) badging.
- Instead of Tariffs, should Donny just talk to his wall Street buddies at GM and Ford and Chrysler, well.not Chrysler, it's a German Company? That just got sold to the Italians, but talk to them and ask them nicely to stop sending jobs to Mexico, for lower wages and bigger Bonuses, and keep the jobs in America and pay a good living wage to all, even if it hurts them a little? Just sayin… You know… Ask the CEO's to be PATRIOTS for a change? And #MAGA?
