If my car was recalled can I get a rental car?
I got a letter from the Ford Company saying my car needs to be brought in so that they can fix two things on my car. Am I allowed to get a rental car? For one of recall's it said that it will take one and a half day but the other recall code says they don't have the parts yet. I just need a vehicle I can drive to get to work and school.
Help please. I have to go in today and I've never done this before.
Some dealers will give you a free loaner, but you may have to ask.
One or two days to fix the car is reasonable. Don't leave the car there for weeks while they wait for parts.
You can rent a car anytime you like, provided you're old enough and have a major credit card. I doubt the dealer or Ford will pay for it.
It never hurts to ask, but you will probably have to take care of it yourself. A recall means they found something that is unsafe in a line of cars produced. They will fix it for free but it's up to you to bring it in. If you don't bring it in after you received the notice and then you have an accident because of that recall item, you won't have much of a case to sue the motor company. It's in your best interest to take it in but it's not required.
Neither Ford or the dealer has any obligation to provide you with a rental or loaner car. When you call to schedule your service you can ask if they have loaners available. If not, you pay to rent a car.
my car hyundai elantra 2019, i have 2 recalls, hyundai told me that car have to stay w/hyundai until they find how to fixed HYUNDAI IS PAYING FOR MY RENTAL CAR BECAUSE I HAVE WARRANTY UNTIL 2024, perhaps motor has to be changed.
- Why Ford uniform rental end up inside trunk of Crown Victoria behind the jack up tools? Why would someone put it and hide them inside my trunk? It's blue one piece clothes which only mechanics wear. Since I brought car from old man years ago, my tire got flat so I went in trunk and go behind the wall to get tools to jack car up and uniform with tiny blanket end up in there. Do they put this in every Crown Victoria when assembling in factory? You won't find it because it was hidden behind tools which you use to change the tire.
- Can i get out of a ford lease early? Or get a new car early? After my 2004 GTO broke down, i was forced to lease a 2014 Focus, for 3 years and had to get extended miles. Its been about 5 months since i've had the car and so far i hate it. Slow, cheaply made, stereo is terrible, no traction in winter, i don't like it at all. Is there any chance of getting out of the lease early or turning it in without hurting my credit, or even turning it in to lease a different car. Possibly a truck or taurus. Has anyone else been in this situation?
- My transmission has failed due to a recalled part does Ford have to replace the whole transmission or just the recalled part? I have a 2005 Ford Freestar minivan one night when I was driving home the transmission went out on it while I was on the highway. After doing some research we found that the torque converter is a recalled part on this model. If the torque converter is the reason for the transmission failure does Ford have to replace my whole transmission as well or just the torque converter?
- Get any rental car I want? So long story short, God is good! Someone backed into me and they tried to say they didn't but it's all solved now and they're insurance company, State Farm, is taking full liability for it. My question is am I able to get any rental I want? Like a corvette for Challenger or something down that like? I'm located in Florida and I have a 2014 Ford Mustang that'll be in the shop for repairs. State Farm is contracted with Hertz Rental Center
