Can you put a Honda, ford engine on a Beamer?

Like my sisters Beamer engine is complete totaled but I love the Beamer interior and body i don't care about the engine power or whatever. Is it possible to put a honda engine on the Beamer. (For less cost of matinence etc.)

Not if you are thinking it would be cheaper. Anything can be done, but an engine swap like that would be very expensive since the Honda or Ford computer is not going to be compatible with the BMW accessories.

All Hondas are FWD… I don't know what bits are available to convert a Honda engine to rear drive. If the BMW is a straight six, there should be room for many American 6s or 8s with their transmissions: reliability and cheap maintenance. What year is the BMW? Is it subject to emissions testing where you live?

Anything is possible - how much do you want to spend?

I've never seen a Honda engine ina BMW. I've seen LS swaps and a few with Toyota 2JZ inline-6s, but any type of Frankenstein swap is going to cost a lot of money.

If you have an unlimited amount of time and money.

Possible, but why would you? Depending on where you live you may need to get the car recertified to use on the road. Besides that things will not fit

Not unless your some kind of mechanical, and fabrication GOD… You would be FAR better off finding a BMW, specialist and have them rebuild the engine in it… A good Beemer guy can even give you a couple year warranty with the rebuild…

" Is it possible to put a honda engine on the Beamer. (For less cost of matinence etc.)" For what you'll spend on the custom fabrication, you'll never make it back in cheaper maintenance. The cheapest way to go about this would be to find a used BMW engine from the same model you have.

Knobhead

Personally I would say mounting a different engine in a car that it was not designed to fit would have more than its share of problems and likely it would be better to do up the old engine although cars like BMW are likely to have expensive parts. Perhaps shop around for one from a wreckers that still has good life left in it may be the cheaper answer.
I remember the old LJ50s from the 70s that ran a 3 cylinder 2 stroke engine. Apparently you could slip a Toyota Corolla engine of the time in so everyone started to fit them but no one ever told them that they had to also change the steering rods with specially made ones as the engine took up a lot more space in the engine bay. Back then the rules were much simpler on vehicle modifications but now likely an engineer would have to do a check and OK the work before you would be allowed to take it on the road. Engine bays tend to also be smaller these days and are designed with just enough room to slip the motor they were designed for into them and a different shape motor may not fit.
I would start searching the internet for a used motor and phoning around to all the Auto wreckers and see if you can find a BMW motor of the same type that would slot straight in.

How have you totalled a BMW engine? They are very reliable if properly maintained.
They will easily run 500000 miles.
The cost will be massive. Insurance will be hard. The car will be worthless.
Either replace the engine with a BMW replacement or replace the car.
