Can the dodge ram diesle 3500 accually tow 31250 pounds?

It is like the same as the ford f4500 an higher then the chevy silverado 3500 can it accually tow more then the silverado?

Probably on level ground or slightly down hill for short distances. I wouldn't dare tow that much across country. That capacity is with the 6.7L turbo diesel with a 4.10 axle. With the 3.42 axle, your capacity drops to about 21,000 lbs.

I wouldn't ever try to tow that much with ANY pickup. You're trying to tow four times the tow vehicle weight?

You need to contact Chrysler about the capacity of the vehicle.

You also need to contact your state DMV, to find out the lawful total weight for a combined pickup and trailer. My state required a CDL to tow more than some mmediocre trailer/weight.

The Cummins Diesel has plenty of power but the Dodge part stinks. The vehicle would pull but not too far.

  • Wich is stronger chevy duramax 3500, dodge 3500 cummins or the ford f4500 diesle? I know it says their stuff on the website but witch is strongest. Because ignoring the stuff on their sites witch is strongest. I know chevy has the steel frame too
  • Is the dodge ram 1500 5.7 hemi a good truck? Ok, so I need a truck to drive to school with, and at first I wanted the ford raptor, but I heard that ford sucks, so yea I need a truck to drive to school with and sometimes go off road with.
  • How tight is 6 foot pounds? I'm putting the valve cover back on my 2002 Ford Focus. I looked it up and the bolts have to be torqued to 6 foot pounds. The problem is my torque wrench starts at 15 torque pounds, and I can't go get one that works that low because I can't drive my car. So as far as hand tightening the bolts, how can I gauge when it's about six foot pounds. Aka how tight to I make them?
  • 2004-2008 Ford F150 vs 2004-2008 Dodge Ram 1500? I have been wanting to know which of these two trucks should I get? I watch videos on them but as I read the comments the controversy between the people are just left and right, "dodge is better, ford is better" but they never give an explanation why. So which truck is more reliable and why?
