Will a transmission from a ford bronco 5.8 go to a 1990 ford bronco 5.0?

Will a transmission from a ford bronco 5.8 go to a 1990 ford bronco 5.0? - 1

Not all by itself. It needs to be encouraged.

Depends, in 1990, there were three different automatic transmissions offered. 1. The C6, it's a 3 speed automatic, it was only offered with the 302 in 1990, and was pretty rare by this time. 2. The AOD, it's a 4 speed automatic and was offered with the 300 I6 and 302, but not the 351W. 3. The E4OD, it was the only transmission offered with the 351W., and was also offered behind the 302 and 300 IIRC

The E4OD is electronically controlled, the C6 and AOD are hydraulically controlled, it's generally more involved to go from one type to the other. If you have the E4OD, and the other Bronco has a C6 or AOD, then it's going to be difficult, and will probably be easier to have the transmission in the 302 Bronco rebuilt. If the 302 Bronco has the E4OD, then it's a direct swap.

Keep in mind the earlier iterations of the E4OD weren't the best, it's especially important that you change the transmission fluid every 30k miles or so. I want to say the E4OD had revisions in 92/93, again in 1995, and had another round of updates in 1998. They didn't get to the point where they were really reliable until the 1995 revisions.
