Which is the best first car? - 1

I'm a 16 year old guy. I'm looking for a part-time job so I can start saving for a car. I would LOVE a new car but, that's not within my budget. My budget would probably be anywhere from $1,000-$6,000. I have to pay for it myself because my parents can't afford to buy me a car. I have driven cars, trucks, and SUVs. I can pretty much drive any size of car or truck. I would like something unique NOT custom. I also don't like tiny cars. I'm mainly a Ford/Lincoln fan. Here's some of the vehicles I'm interested in.

-1987-91 Ford LTD Crown Victoria LX Country Squire
-1987-91 Ford LTD Crown Victoria
-1993 Chevy Beretta GT V6
-1994-96 Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer 4WD (these years had driver airbag)
-1995-05 Ford Crown Victoria LX
-1998-02 Ford Contour SE
-1999-02 Lincoln Navigator 4WD
-1999-01 Ford Explorer XLT 4WD
-2002 Lincoln Blackwood 4WD (very rare Navigator version of F150)
-2004 Ford F150 Lariat 4WD (SuperCrew)
-2005-07 Chrysler 300C AWD
-2005-09 Ford Fusion SEL AWD

Which one should I look for and why? I just want an idea of what I want so I know what to look at when the time comes.

Added (1). It will be driven in the winter and occasionally up to 2 feet of snow.

I hate these "first car" lists. Your cherry popping dream machine is not going to depend so much on what year make and model it is as: what kind of condition it's in, how available parts are, insurance, gas mileage, who will repair it and what will it be used for? These are questions that need answering before you start asking: Hey, what'ya think about a 82 DeLorean for a first car? Be sure to have the flux capacitor tested before purchase!

I'd say the 95-2002 Crown Vic--they are pretty much bullet proof. You don't want ANYTHING made in America in 1991 believe me. The 2004 F150 might be good, although I don't know why you need a Super Crew cab. (that's the 4-door right?)

  • Which car is the best first car? - 1 I'm 16 and I'm going to be saving up to buy a car. I want to spend $1000-$5000. I will likely have it all the way through college. I'm looking for comfort, safety, space (I'd be hauling my stuff to college), and winter capability. Here is what I like. -2000-07 Ford Taurus SEL -2000-07 Mercury Sable LS Premium -2005-07 Ford Five-Hundred Limited AWD Which one should I get? I'd like to stick with a V6 that's either FWD or AWD.

  • Which car should I get as a first car? Ford fusion 06 or 07 model? Or chevy avalanche 2002 z71. And last Mazda 6 04, 05 & 07. The newer the higher the price for each model(not by much). I'm a fan of each car and model style, so really want to know which last longer, cheaper maintenance and good car for a college boy.
