We have a1994' full sized 4x4 Ford Bronco, noise in tranny?
I asked an here yesterday, had to ask again, did not give out enough information… While driving this vehicle… Yes, we know its old, we need to use it for another 2 years… It clunks very hard while vehicle is moving… We were wondering if this is a transmission problem or the torch convertor? Can anyone help out with this… Taking this to a shop, costs a small fortune… It would cost MORE to get it fixed than the vehicle is worth… Thank you!
Check the u-joints first
Do you think it will make two years the way it is? You don't even know what is wrong yet you think it will cost more then the vehicle is worth to fix, where is your head at. Transmissions and torque converts don't clunk, drivelines do.
- Why do fords small sized engines make more power than chevy s? I have a 67 impala with a 283. And I was looking at a spec sheet for different motors from ford of that same year and saw that fords 289 makes 271 horsepower while my 283 only makes 190 where this extra power coming from?
- I have a 1986 ford with the C6 tranny on a motorhome what fluid does it take? It looks like from what I was reading that type F is what will work but then I ran across info that states its only used in c6's from the 70's. Am I ok using type F? Also this vehicle is new to me is there anyway to tell what fluid type is in it now?
- I have a 1989 Ford F-150 2wd I recently swapped the motor, tranny, front and rear off a 94? I swapped everything off a 94 to make it automatic with 4wd but the plugs coming off the transmission don't match ou and I'm missing a big plug "the wiring is off the 89" and it won't shift I've changed the speed sensor and the transmission filter would those plugs not matching up cause it to not shift while driving?
