Is a 2005-2008 nissa xterra a good vehicle? What car is better than a nissan xterra?
Looking to buy a preowned car before college starts this fall. Things I'm looking for
-good price
-reliable/well built
-cheap to insure
-decent offroading capabilities
-good looking vehicle
-under 10k
Other cars I have considered, Jeep wrangler, ford bronco, jeep grand cherokee, toyota tacoma
For less that $ 10,000 about the only vehicles you will find that fir the description will be older ones with high mileage + possibility of needed repairs
The Xterra is a pretty decent rock-hopper, and off-road ability seems to be something you're looking for. Wranglers and Grand Cherokees have their charms, one of which is relatively low depreciation -- which means few bargains in the secondhand market.
Have it inspected. Xterras are bad about the transmission oil cooler leaking causing coolant to get into the transmission & destroy the tranny. GOOGLE IT!
