How do I fix the speedometer and other gauges on my 89 ford bronco?
The RPM works, but nothing else.
If the speedo is not working its most likely a broken cable which can be replaced The gauges work off electrical sending units They may be unplugged or the sending unit is broken Which is not uncommon. You can try the fuses too and fusible links Don't forget about the fusible links. There worth checking too just for the sake of making sure they are in good condition If a link blows your usually stranded I myself think the sending units are no longer "sending "anything The speedo cable is easy and cheap repair too. I suggest you get a manual for it

Hi it might be a lot more complex than a simple fix. As it such an old truck.
- Entire car loses power when we floor the gas. Gauges reset until we let off gas. (still drives) 02 ford mustang. The car loses power to everything. (Except what's needed for the vehichle to stay running.) Can still drive it. What are possible problems? (AC does not affect anything )
- How do you open the instrument cluster in a 2003 ford focus SE to access the mechanisms for the gauges? Needle is stuck. Did a test on the gauges and it was sticking trying to climb so I highly doubt it's a sensor. Just want to open it up to gain access to the mechanism so I can see if it's dirty or not. Add a bit of sewing machine oil so it moves more freely.

Not sure what else it could be it's not the Cluster, Not the wiring nor the Cable. It's not the speed Sensor or Transmission Sensor. I also can't get any codes from my readings. Not sure what to checkout now any advice is appreciated Thanks!
