Belt tensioner-94 mazda 3.0?
How does this thing come off.
there's a spot in the middle that looks like an allen wrench but it is not so i tried a torx and that was not it. Is there a special tool for this.
i'm doing the water pump and need to get to 2 bolts behind it to remove the power steering bracket… I'm confused here cuz i did one on a ford bronco and it was so easy.

I replaced the water pump, idler pulley, and the belt tensioner on my 94 B3000. I did not have to remove the tensioner to remove the hidden bolts on the power steering bracket. I was able to reach the bolts using an end wrench Still, it's a good time to replace the tensioner and idler pulleys because they are really old and it might give you a little more room to work. My tensioner finally gave out last year when the belt started making noises in the morning. BTW, I had to go the auto parts store to get a special black torx bit to remove the tensioner pulley. The torx bit came in a pack of four different sizes.
You have to take the serpentine belt off.

And while it sounds childish, the opinions of my friends do matter somewhat, with them saying I shouldnt get a big car right now ( even though it isn't that big). What should I choose?
- Why does my belt tensioner break a lot? I got a 94 ford f150 with a 351, it keeps snapping off belt tensioners, what's happening that it keeps snapping them?
