Alternator is good but lights are dimming?

I have a 1989 Ford Bronco 2, whenever I shift gears from park drive etc the lights dim same with just driving sometimes the lights will brighten up then immediately dim again I have a new battery and I had the alternator checked and its fine. I don't know if some wires are corroded or not but if you know what the problem might be exactly or the price it might be to fix it that would be nice.

Well why don't you check to see if the wired are corroded. DUH

Run a ground wire from the engine block to the body.

You may have a weak ground connection. Check all the ground wires and especially the one on the body. Also check the ground and hot wires going to the battery. They may look good but if you see a bulge in the wire anywhere it needs replacing. Also check the output of the alternator. It should be 13.5 to 15.5 volts as tested with a digital volt meter set to the 20 Volt DC scale. Any less and the alternator is not putting out enough voltage.

  • Why are my blink lights / brake lights working? I have a 72 Ford f100 and the rear left turn signal, brake ligh, hazard light isn't working. The light workings for "running lights " but does not blink or light up when I press the brake. I replaced the bulb. I don't know where to start
  • Is a 130 amp alternator good for a 1200w system? I have a 1999 Ford Taurus SE and I recently looked up stock alternators to see how many amps my alternator was putting out. Everywhere I look i see 130 amps and I wanted to know if that is good (higher end, lower end, or average). And if you could, give me an example of how many amps are bad, and how many amps would be really good for a 1200w system.
  • 99 Ford ranger XLT base model. Park lights, dash lights, and license plates lights out I checked online and realized it was probably a fuse which it is. Fuse 11 in my power distribution box. The problem is I keep replacing at and soon as I turn on my lights it blows instantly. Have replaced it multiple times. So then I looked under my truck and disconnected the wiring to my taillights and replaced the fuse, it worked it didn't blow. Dash lights and license plates lights were on so I figured some where there's a problem with the brake lights. Any suggestions?
  • Headlights, instrument cluster lights, tail lights, and dome light all stopped working at once? 1995 Mustang GT convertible, fuses are good, switch is good. I'm about to do a voltage drop test on it tomorrow but I wanted to see if you Ford guys knew something that I'm overlooking.
