1992 Ford Bronco problems?

I have a 1992 ford bronco with a 5.8l. I've been having this problem where when I drive it for a long period of time (say over an hour) the truck will bog down backfire through the airbox and eventually stall. Now if I leave it sit for about 30-40 minutes it starts right back up and is fine for about another 20-30mins then it happens again. Now this only seems to be happening when the fuel level is below half.

Added (1). also i'm not sure if this is related or not but when the truck sits for awhile like over night after being started and ran for a bit previously when I start it the engine bogs down for a couple seconds then idles as normal

First guess would be the cam position sensor, but that's just a guess.

It's a Ford

  • Shifting problems and intake problems? I drive a 1997 ford ranger with a 2.3l automatic. I have recently experienced a hard shifting in my truck even when I'm not on the gas it has problems shifting. And I cleaned my air filter and filter hose that goes to my throttle body and there was transmission fluid in the hose. What can be causing this and how can I fix it or how much will it cost roughly?
  • Where can i buy a wiring loom for a ford ka 1992? My central locking and drivers side speaker isn't working and i can see some damage and corrosion to the wiring loom. I just need to find an acceptable one. I'd prefere not to buy from ebay as the quality could be bad and arrise more issues.
  • Can i put a compressor from a 1995 ford explorer on a 1992 ford explorer? Imy compressor is out of Freon, and I was told you can't use the 134a in it. Is there another that will work?
  • 1992 Ford Explorer Transmission Problems? My 1992 Ford Explorer (automatic) is having an issue, when you first start to press on the accelerator it revs up real high, and then it kicks and the gears catch and start moving, it'll start off moving a little bit, but really slowly, has anyone else had this problem before? Any advice? It's not slipping.
