1990 Ford Bronco Oil/vacuum leaks?

Just got myself a 1990 Eddie Bauer Ford Bronco, 302, converted to a 5 speed. Has pretty nasty oil leak. Pretty sure it's coming from the rear of the valve covers (bad gasket). Wouldn't be surprised if it needs an intake gasket too. Gotta clean it up and check it out tomorrow. I was wondering what all common places for oil leaks, vacuum leaks, mechanical issues, and whatever else helpful information I should know about before diving into it. Oh and another thing, when put in neutral to idle, it wants to idle at a steady 1400/1500 rpms. Hitting the gas really quick (how high you rev doesn't seem to matter, just how quick you do it and let off) fixes it. Also when I push the clutch in to shift, the engine revs up until I'm almost all the way off the clutch? Should I expect this to be a vacuum leak? Or perhaps even the intake gasket? Gonna clean the throttle body and check the IAC also.

Anything can leak. You check the vacuum powered stuff by pulling the line off and seeing if they hold a vacuum. Some people use a little hand pump with a gauge and some just suck on the line. Bad intake gasket can definitely cause all that too. Cracked vacuum reservoirs and vent controls are common leakers.
