Best recommended Edlebrock carburetor for 1974 ford f100?
I have a 1974 Ford F100 with a V8 302 5.0. It has a Motorcraft 2 barrel carburetor in it right now, but I would like to upgrade to a 4 barrel Edlebrock. I would also prefer it to be either a manual or all electronic, because the exhaust crossover line that controls the automatic choke on the Motorcraft is rusted out. And I plan to put headers, which would eliminate the crossover all together.
So my question is, what are some recommended Edlebrock carburetors that would fit these specifications?
Model numbers, best place to buy it, and info like that would be appreciated.
Try Summit Racing. In the search box: SUM-M08600VS
Nice 4 brl, (Holley style) 600 CFM, electric choke, Vac secondaries, easy to work on, comes with fuel line, only $ 280. Then you will have to pick out a intake, gaskets & sealer. (An Edelbrock carb will run you $350)
- What is the recommended oil for a ford 200 inline 6? I heard it needs a zinc additive but I'm not sure. It has 135,000 miles. Another question. What would be the redline? It's a stock engine
- Is this a good deal for a 1974 ford ltd? The car looks great in person, and the guy seems very trustworthy. Selling for $4,500. I'm looking for something reliable but still has some mojo and comfort.
- Why won't the gas in my fuel tank go in the carburetor? 1984 Ford F-150 302 5.0 Automatic? I have put a new fuel tank, new starter, new battery, new fuel lines, the fuse is good for the fuel tank. I have at least a 1/4 of a tank in the fuel tank, i can only get it to run if i put gas directly into the carb, it won't flow from the furl tank to the carb. What should i do? Please Help. * i meant new fuel pump, not tank.
