Are honda civics usually good cars?
OK so I currently drive an '08 Honda civic and love it very much. It runs great! I've owned several cars in my life but never a Honda. I've always had Fords, Chevrolets, and one Toyota. I decided to try a Honda for once and I bought it brand new back in 2008 and now it has 72,000 miles on it. Its never had anything mechanically wrong with it (except brakes) and I've had it for 6 years. All my other cars had, had atleast one somewhat serious problem by 6 years and I've put more miles on this car in 6 years than I ever did the other cars. I just can't believe its gotten me this far with so little trouble! Is this normal for a civic or am I just lucky?
Yes but all cars have their up and downs, this is a timing belt version good car though
Yes
That's why they have higher resale value than other cars, because they're desirable and there's a huge market for both new and used ones. It's the #1 best selling car here in Canada.
Yes they are. Here in America they are one of the longest running annual model cars. I have a 98 civic and for the size motor (1.6L) it still has a lot of power! Haha I can still burn the tires and I bought the car with the motor taken apart!
Hondas are just very well made cars and tend to last a good 300,000 + miles without major mechanical problems. Mine has 162, xxx and after everything that happened to it it still runs like a trojan horse. You made a good choice!
Honda has established itself as one of the most reliable car manufacturers so its Normal to see some past 300k miles I currently have 200k on my 2k accord coupe v6
- Why would people buy older foreign cars instead of brand new American cars? I see it all the time, people driving 7-8 year old Mercedes or BMWs that they paid probably paid around $20,000. They could of easily gone out and bought a brand new Ford or Dodge, but they didn't. They bought a Mercedes with over 100k miles. All worn and torn on the inside. But aslong as they're shining on the outside I guess.
- Which dealership is best working for, Toyota, Ford, or Honda? (Working on cars)? I'm joining a dealership program with an Internship and would like some help on a decision. I'll be working on cars.
- What cars do college students usually drive? I was thinking of buying a 1999 Ford Explorer XLT for my first car. It will be 2016 when I go to college. I feel like my car would be too old and people will judge me. How old are the cars college students usually have?
- Does dealership do inspections (not state inspections), if so what do it usually include and cost? I'm going going of the state and I want to make sure my vehicle is in good condition. Its a 2004 Ford Explorer with about 108,000 miles. I'm wondering if dealerships do inspections. Not the state inspections or the little inspection that they do with oil changes. If so, what do it usually included and do they usually take it for a little drive as well?
