Are General Motors and Ford good companies to work for?
I'm thinking of working there as an engineer. Are they good and why?
It looks like they train you pretty well at Ford and have great benefits and great coworkers but they are strict about their breaks.
GM sounds like they don't pay you what you're worth (or at least that's what one of the engineers said).
I'm jealous! Engineering is a wonderful skill and the auto industry is a cool place to work.

- Is it just me or do mustangs and ford V8s in general sound deeper and different? For example if I hear a v8 mustang down the road I can immediately identify it for what it is. Or if a ford truck was revving the engine and a Chevy or dodge was to I can pick out easily which one the ford is by its deep base sound. Anyone else notice this?
- General Motors, Ford, and American Motors? https://en.wikipedia.org/..._in_Canada Why does it say on Wikipedia they're defunct Canadian car companies? Isn't General Motors and Ford and American Motors United States founded and owned car companies?
