Any other ways to increase the horsepower/ torque of a classic car?
1965 ford thunderbird I've been asking around and so far I have. 1 Headers 2 High flow mufflers and pipes 3 H pipes 4 aftermarket pulleys 5 aftermarket fuel pump 6 HEI
The pulleys were a waste of time and money and may hurt drivability, but the other items you list should overall provide a slight increase in power. Of course, as usual, you completely FAIL to provide critical information such as the engine SIZE, but the only way you're going to get noticably more power is from increasing compression or displacement, or both. Again, without the needed information, it's not possible to even say if pistons, cams, heads, or a performance intake are available for your car.
Change out for a different degree camshaft.
If it is a two barrel carb, change the intake manifold and make it 4 barrel if it is 4 barrel upgrade. You can also install electronic ignition. Oh yea always use premium gasoline not regular
- Why don't car companies remake some of their classic car models if people like them so much? Of course safety is in mind because everyone would freak out if they didn't have a seat belt and air bags in every inch of the car, but why can't some of the companies just remake their best selling car models? Dodge could remake their 1948 Sedan and Ford could remake their 1949 Custom. I could list more but I can't think of any more classics.
- What other ways can I get big money for my idea besides patenting? I have an idea for Ford Motor Company. I'm only fifteen and don't know a lot about the business world. As I have learned, the process of patents is an extremely complex thing. Even Adult business professionals find it stressful. If there's an affordable and simpler way to patent my Idea please tell me.
- Will a new exhaust actually increase horsepower and fuel economy in my 2001 ford ranger 4.0? I'm looking at the flowmaster 40 series duel exhaust here: http://www.truckexhaustkits.com/ranger-96-04-dual-exhaust-2-25-ma-pipe-flowmaster-40/
