Am I making a good investment on purchasing this van?

I'm planning on buying a 1998 Ford e350 for 5500. I comes with all the equipment to detail cars the van has a new transmission and looks very well maintained. I want to buy it so that I can start detailing cars on the weekend to make some extra income and then hopefully be able to do it full time. I'm not sure if this is a good stepping stone for me to begin or should I wait and buy everything individually.
Thanks ahead for your answers both bad and good.

Www.kbb.com is Kelly Blue Book. The van, without my knowing the options, is $1500-$2000. You need to decide if the equipment it comes with is worth $3000. There's also something to be said for the fact that it's a turn-key buy. Maybe you could buy everything for $2K but you'd take a year accumulating it, and there's something to be said for that. If you are any good with cars (and people, too) it sounds like a pretty good little money maker for a modest investment. Plus you can drive the van, too, like to the store or wherever.

Be sure you check Kelly Blue Book before you had over the cash
it appears to be in good shape, but buying used will always have a mystery about anything in the future

  • Subaru Liberty or a Mondeo Wagon? What is the importance of previous km's when purchasing second-hand? I'm in the market for a second-hand car. I have narrowed my shortlist to a Subaru Liberty or Ford Mondeo Wagon, about 3-4 years old. They can fall in the same price range, however the Subaru will have significantly more km's on the odometer. Given the Subaru's reputation for longevity, however, is this important? Is it better to get a Subaru with 150000 on the clock, or a Ford Mondeo with around 60000km?

I'll be paying off my current car soon, and will be giving it to my fiancée (she has no vehicle) I can't decide on a 2008-2011 Ford ranger which will be around 10k with 40-100k miles Or a 2014 f150 tremor (25k-29k) for 20k-68k miles on them Which would you choose? Please pretend it was with your money and take It into calculatation, but also which one you'll want (it'll really help me)
  • Is purchasing a Ford with 80,000 miles a good choice? So basically my boyfriend and I have been looking for a perfect van to road trip in, and we saw this absolutely perfect Ford Econoline 150 that is cutom made. The interior is in mint condition as well as the exterior and as far as I know the engine and everything is in perfect shape. Basically my question today is if this purchase would be worth it or do fords burn out quickly? The van is 1995 with 80,000 miles and it is $11,000. I think it is pretty good deal but I need a second opinion.
