What type of performance carburetor should I use?
I have a 1968 ford 390 pickup. I'm planning on upgrading the carburetor for better performance.

I bought a 4 door, straight 6 cylinder 72 maverick for $500, (it wasn't runnin is why it was so cheap), just got it runnin, (i replace the fuel filter & fuel pump), it needs an oil change and it need transmission fluid and i wanna know what type of oil and transmission fluid to buy for it
- What oil type should I use on a 68 ford galaxie xl? I went to the auto store to ask but it wouldn't come up on his computer. He suggested 10w-30 so I bought a jug, but I want to double check before I put it in my car.
- Vacuum leak between carburetor and intake manifold? I have a 1966 ford f100 with a 390. After taking off the carb to clean it, I noticed a rough idle and fuel leaking from between the carburetor and intake manifold. So I replaced the gasket with a gasket specifically for Holley carburetors, but that didn't stop the leak. Any ideas? Would there be any reason the manifold or bottom of the carb would need to be resurfaced? Is sealant ever used?
- Motorcraft 2150 carburetor bogging? I have a 1975 ford, when i start the car it idles real rough for about 30 seconds, when driving it cold it will run good for about 3 minutes then stall, once i get it wormed up a little bit it runs great. I just had the carb cleaned. What could be the issue
