What is the proper output Voltage & Amp of the Alternator of Ford Ikon Petrol? - 1
Ford Ikon - made since 1999, very similar to the Fiesta, produced in India and China for China, India, (most of Asia) and South African market and in Brazil for Mexico and South America. It is rare to see these vehicles outside of their intended markets. It has been marketed under Ikon and Fiesta name plates. The Americas version and the Asian/Europe/African versions are significantly different in styling for the past 6-10 years. However, the engine and power plant are largely the same as the Fiesta in each version built.
It should be a 12V 60A output minimum. The early 1978 US Fiesta had a 40A, and all models afterward were built with at least a 60A Alternator. Many have been updated since to 110 - 225 A output. Therefore, it depends on the model year, and the region it was sold in. You would do well to contact a dealer in your area, to determine the proper part and if it is producing the correct amperage output.
Hi if in doubt contact an auto electrician he will have the right test equipment as well.
- What is Ford's excuse for not reporting this alleged crime 36 years ago when a proper investigation could have been done? Even if you say that the police would have not taken it seriously back then, it would still have been on file and came up during the FBI background check.
- Is a 130 amp alternator good for a 1200w system? I have a 1999 Ford Taurus SE and I recently looked up stock alternators to see how many amps my alternator was putting out. Everywhere I look i see 130 amps and I wanted to know if that is good (higher end, lower end, or average). And if you could, give me an example of how many amps are bad, and how many amps would be really good for a 1200w system.
- Should i buy second hand ford ikon? Ford Ikon 1 year old good condition Price 1 Lakh Should i consider buying it? ford ikon was discontinued this year in my country because of BS4 norms
- What's the proper way to hook up these speakers? I picked up a 2004 Ford Mustang Mach 1 for a pretty rediculously low price. It does have some cosmetic issues. The only one I don't have any experience with is speakers. The front two speakers (in the door) were deffinatly not installed correctly. When I give them power the work fine but how do I do this right?
