07 Ford Taurus engine revs up and down during idle?
This is what's vexing me
1. At idle start up, stop light etc, car sounds like someone is revving engine… Yes my foot is off the gas…
2. When turn on ac rpm go up and down even while driving and idle
Can feel vibrations in the gas and break pedal. Any ideas at lost of what else that could be wrong with my 07 Ford Taurus.
Cars check engine light isn't coming on and car isn't pulling codes for some reason we have tried.
So far we have replaced the fuel filter, spark plugs, cracked hose, air control valve, egr valve, alternator and belt, battery, cleaned the throttle body, ignition coil
Either a vacumn leak or a bad air idle valve
- I have a 2001 Ford Taurus Lx, it sputters and hesitates during acceleration? I have a 2001 Ford Taurus Lx, it sputters and hesitates during acceleration! It doesn't go pass 25 mph but will reach 5 rpms! Changed spark plugs and wires! Also changed coil pack! Both converters are working properly! Check engine light is not on! Doesn't run hot! Tire pressure indicator comes on though! Not sure what my next step is! I need help!
- Why is my engine shaking during idle at stops and park? I got a ford 1999 taurus SE with 100,000 miles on it. I just changed the spark plugs and wireset out and it got even worse. I was thinking the IAC might of just gone bad but before I go get one I wanted to ask if there was anything else I could test before buying more new stuff for it.
- Car acceleration problem and idle problem. The car is a 2003 Ford Taurus? . When the car is running and in parked its making a loud consisted rev noise. However the rpm needle thingy is not moving. when i'm in drive the car acclerates on its own with the speed ever increasing. i did some googling and learned that it can be the TPS sensor or the idle air intake valve, among a million other possiblities.

Since this started my battery is always dead when I go to start my car. I've replaced the ignition coil and the wires cause autozone said that was the problem. But it still is acting the same way. The car dies when in idle and I don't know what else to do. Any help is appreciated.
