Recent car accident-rental car?

I was involved in a crash earlier this evening, I'm 19 years of age, the other driver failed to yeild the right of way, and was listed at fault by the police officer. I have a ford leased in my name with my dad as the cosighner. My question being, my car is undrivable right now, and I work full time, does ford provide a loner car until my car is repaired even if I'm under 21 years of age? If not what can I do. Its going to be about a week or two to repair everything, and I'm unable to get transportation tonwork as well as transportation for my brother. I live in nys if that helps.

U'll be taking public transportation or renting a cabbie.
you will Not get a loaner for the weeks until insurance companies get to inspect and settle the claims.

Simply let your insurance company handle the entire matter. That is what you "hired" them to do. Will they pay for a rental car? Ask them. How would we know?

Leased car purchased car. It makes no difference as to insurance. It is all handled the same way.

BTW. Go back and read the police report. I guarantee you that it did NOT say who was at fault!
O N L Y the involved insurance company can, do and will determine fault for insurance purposes. Cops don't, can't are not allowed to find liability. ONLY insurance companies do that. Since this just happened, the involved insurance companies haven't yet determined who is at fault. They will let you know. In the meantime, take a big breath, get off of the internet and hold any questions you may have for your insurance company. Anything you need to know can be answered best by them.

Police do not determine fault, insurance companies do. So, until the other (at fault) insurance agrees, they are liable, will they pay for your car damages and any rental.

But at age 19, most rental companies will only rent to people age 25 or older. So, when/if insurance agrees liable, then your best bet would be to use either mom/dad's vehicle, and mom/dad rents a vehicle instead due to your age.
