Which vehicle is cooler for a high-schooler to have?
So I know this is kind of a stupid question, but which would be cooler for me to get (or just the better option), a 99 Ford ranger xlt extended cab 4wd (red) or an 02 Mazda protégé lx (black)? It's my first real car that I'm paying for, I had a 97 vw cabrio convertible that I got from my brother and crashed… Also, which one would be more fun to drive? They are both manuals (automatics are boring…)
This kind (talk about someone with school spirit). But off your list, probably the VW.
Depends on where you live and go to school. In redneck country, the truck would be much more cool. In the ghetto, the old Mazda would be very cool. Just don't be caught driving the truck in the ghetto.
Anyway, with such old cars, make sure you get it inspected by a professional mechanic before you buy unless you want some big expensive surprises later when you find it has major problems.
The Mazda will be much nicer to drive. I had a '99 Ranger. It's certainly nothing special.
I'd get the ranger.
Definitely the ranger.
- Is a face lift for a vehicle a new generation for a vehicle? I heard that in 1989 Ford Ranger received a facelift but was a new generation or just a minor update that did not change the complete model of the vehicle?
- I have a Ford Ranger 4.0 and the AC doesn't blow very cool air. I want to add refrigerant for very 1st time, never have added to any vehicle? I'm using a gauge to test the pressure. With AC on max the needle moves between 25 and 45, the blue normal range. The compressor cuts on at 45 and off at 25. This happens continuously. The outside temp is 80 degrees. Not exactly understanding what I was doing, I added a little refrigerant and now the needle goes to 47 in the yellow range. Will this do any harm? Can I remove the excess refrigerant? If so, how? Is the system fully charged? If so, why isn't the air cooler?
