Ford Ranger speedo off, I have checked with GPS and analyzer? - 1
Added (1). I need an idea. The truck does not have a cable, this is an electronic speedo.
Thanks.
Added (2). Tires are correct size, analyzer says 66 truck speedo says 60 gps says 66
so I know speedo needs something?
Is the truck still wearing the same size tires it came with?
How much is it off - my F150 speedo is 3+ miles per hours faster than GPS speed at 60mph. I consider that close enough. The tires are stock and well worn so I suspect new tires will reduce the error somewhat. Most of my motorcycle (past and current) have been 10% + off - again speedo faster than gps.
Check tire size if the error is only slight.
The speedometer head must be bad.
- I have a 2001 ford ranger with 3.0 and i was off roading when i the truck just shutoff.i stopped it and turned the key no crank at all? I have a 2001 ford ranger with 3.0 and i was off roading when i the truck just shutoff. I stopped it and turned the key no crank at all?
- What's wrong with my Ford Focus? It turns off at every stop! A mechanic checked his comp and said no errors It just turns off. A friend changed my burnt sparkler cables, my spark plugs, my fuel filter and other stuff, but he can't seem to find what's wrong with it. Is there something else wrong with it? When a mechanic hooked it up to a comp to check to see what's wrong with it, nothing came up since the check engine light isn't on. What's up with the car? It's a 2000 Ford Focus SE.
- I'm looking for the speedo sensor on a 1.6 TDCI Ford Focus? I have to change it following various error codes relating to it (P0500 mainly). I have bought a replacement but can't find where it goes, mainly due to limited under car space, I know it's a fiddly change but easily a DIY. I'm a skinflint you see.
- Who to call to have a stationary vehicle checked out? Didn't know how to really word the question. We've had a ford explorer that stopped working a year ago and has just been sitting in our driveway ever since. I'm sort of interested in seeing if it's repairable still (it hasn't moved - went through winter, spring, summer, and fall) but I have no clue who to call to come look at it. Any suggestions?
