Can you drive a car when the AC system is apart?
Have 1992 Ford Ranger 2wd automatic 4.0L V6
I haven't had AC for last 10 years i don't know if the owner be4 me had any AC for the truck.
Anyway there a bad leak. I know there no pressure in the lines. I like know can I take my AC system apart and still be able drive the truck around?
Not really looking to fix it, don't think it can be fixed. More of just wanting know what the problem was all these years.
Side question… Last time I tired put refrigerant in the hose came lose and bunch of white chunky stuff came flying out of the place I put the refrigerant. Isn't this stuff a gas?
As long as your belts are installed for water pump, power steering and alternator
Yes, You can drive the truck if its iginition is working
Yes,
No problem You have easily drive a car when the AC System is apart.
If the compressor is turning dry it will rip the seals and seize the compressor in a very short time as the refrigerant is uses as a lubricant.
- Can you use a 110V AC power inverter for a 200V system? Seems like a brainless question doesn't it? Here is my predicament. I've got this old Ford Ranger that I put a turbo in, but I want to get it some good sound. I have a Altec Lansing system I want to hook up inside of there, but on the back of the system it says 200V, and most AC interters only go to 110V. So how would this affect the speakers (if they would work at all). Also, does anyone know of a >200V power inverter?
- If you have enough money, can you have a new classic car built? Like can I pay to have ford build me a 1970 Mustang? Lets say I don't want to buy an old car and restore it, I want a 1970 but straight off the factory line. Can you have a car built with the old style frame, engine, trans, etc?
- Ford Fiesta is falling apart? I have a 2009 Ford Fiesta that recently just conked out on me while I was driving, it didn't stall but completely shut off. Steering was heavy and tried to restart the car. When I did this a cog with an exclamation mark popped up in orange, so I panicked and restarted the car again - worked fine. After a couple of hours, I checked the oil levels and all that. So I went out and left the car off and locked - now my headlights are not working, is this all connected? Someone please help!
- Can you change the original brake system of a 1991 Ford Fiesta to all disc? The backing plates are gone in the ford and they have discontinued the part so can i chang the the hole thing over.to disc brakes?
