Is the Ford GT really coming with a 6.3L pushrod V8?

I read about it on Instagram, tagged in Ford's IG page. Apparently Ford sent "coolestcars2015" an email on Google about the GT and its 720hp 6.3L V8.

No, the next generation Ford GT will come with a 3.5L twin turbo direct injected V6 producing over 600 horsepower.

and for reference the 3.5L ecoboost used in the F-150 and Taurus produces similar levels of torque to a 6.2L V8 but at lower RPMs so you won't be missing a lot of low end grunt with that thing. That's the beauty of forced induction. It helps a lot with low and med end torque as well as high end explosive power. Knowing this, a big V8 is only really attractive for its history and its sound. Performance wise, they are no longer good as smaller lighter engines can put out the same amount of power and torque.

Unless you mean Gmail you can't send emails on a search engine, and either way it's wrong, it's going to be an ecoboost V6

  • Really want a Ford Taurus? I had a '99 Taurus has my first car. I absolutely loved it. I've owned 2 Tauruses since then but sold them to get a newer more reliable car. I now have a chevy impala but I really have my heart set on getting another 1996-1999 Taurus. Most people think I'm crazy to sell my car to get a Taurus that's almost 20 years old. Do you think it's worth it?
  • Do some people really care that much about driving a really nice car? My dad is perfectly okay with his 1992 Ford Taurus with 210,000 miles on it, no heat (he lives in Chicago btw), no A/C, and a f::::ked up passenger side door. He's not poor by any means, he's a CFO of a bank. He just says that driving that P. Builds character and he only cares about having a car that can take him from point A to point B.
  • 2000 ford taurus, is really hard to start, when it does start it idles really rough? 2000 ford taurus, is really hard to start, when it does start it idles really rough until completely warm, we replaced 4 coils and at first it helped but has returned just as bad.
  • Ford Fusion 2015? Are they really that sucky? I'm wanting a new car. The Ford Fusion 2015 is to die for, so nice in and out that i was blown. BUT i hear that Ford cars SUCK! Have they bettered? I keep looking up the internet and find nothing really. Why is it that Ford vehicles are great but Ford Ford brand suck? Makes no sense. Anyone have any RECENT experience with their Ford Fusion? Are the Fusions better?
